Fluid art (also known as 'paint pouring art') is created from applying acrylic paints to stretched canvases by pouring the paint onto the canvas. Several techniques are applied to the paint to create the wonderful effects you see. Although the process sounds simple, to create some of the amazing abstract effects we have on offer takes time and experience.
The pictures on the site cannot show the full colour appreciation of this art nor the depth and texture that they produce - they look much better in real life!
The colours really begin to pop when a thick resin coat is applied - yet another simple technique but very hard to produce top class results. We have a selection of different canvas sizes and shapes and more resin bonded pictures are being produced.
The great thing about this abstract art is that most of it can be displayed any way up - you can rotate the canvas to suit yourself.
We attend local shows in and around Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire to exhibit our works of art. Please click the Upcoming Events link to find out more.
We are now accepting commissions for our fluid art and for more information just click the link in the fluid art menu.
If you would like to order any products from our site, please note that we accept all major credit and debit cards via PayPal or pay via BACS, if you prefer. - it's easy, quick and safe as we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption on our site. We do accept all major credit cards and Google and Apple Pay at live events.

Julie Lindsay - Fluid Art ETSY.com FluidArtByJulie
We have created this website to primarily serve the U.K. with hard to find plastic parts for many hobbies. Our aim is to be competitive but also sell quality products. We own a 3D printer and are in the early stages of developing a number of products for fluid art paintings, pinball machines and other bespoke items on request. We are, however, happy to ship our products all over the world and we will do our best to keep prices fair and reasonable, please contact us for further details.
Some of the fluid art products featured have been created with our very own 3D printed tools.
If you would like to commission a work of art similar to one in our collection but with your own colour scheme, please make a note of the technique you would like by entering the 'PPA' number which can be found under every painting via the Fluid Art link and this will help us to understand the effect you are looking for. There is an area to add the painting number in the commission form.
Please complete the Commission Form or use the link in the main menu.
Due to the techniques involved, we cannot guarantee a perfect match but then that is the appeal of this art - they are all original.
We will reply within a couple of days with a quotation. We do not take a deposit, so if you are not happy with the art once it has been completed, there is no obligation to buy it.
If you have any other questions, please enter them on the form.
